About Barrington River Lodge

John and Marianne Crowther purchased Barrington River Lodge as a place where people of all ages could come together, connect and be restored as they escape from the noise and distraction of the busyness of life. Their hope is that people will engage with the beauty of the property and the life-giving river, choosing to go on an adventure or alternatively spend time re-creating. They invite you to share this unique space with your family, friends or group in this beautiful Gloucester region.

I came to Barrington to relax bike and kayak, and I think I found the best spot, the accommodation was faultless it had everything I could possibly want, knowing there was no mobile reception or tv internet I was already prepared so not disappointed. In my opinion, it’s the best spot to paddle from Bindara to, such an easy access to the river, I paddled 15km from Bindara to the lodge straight into a warm shower, then BBQ dinner. It’s close enough to Gloucester 10-15 mins yet far enough away in the wilderness. The hosts were fantastic, easy going yet precise information, I’d definitely recommend Barrington River Lodge and I’ll definitely be back, I found my spot in Barrington!
